insurance...

Ok.. so my husband and I have health insurance... but the problem is that we don't have maternity benefits. If by some crazy chance the plan with our fertility doc works... we would be up crap creek without a paddle.   So... my question is... does anyone know of individual maternity insurance plans? I really want to figure this out before we get started. I know that this is really random... but I am trying to make sure that I have all of my ducks in a row so that this will be as stress free as possible. Thanks ladies!

There is just prenatal insurance but I can't remember the name of the company...it was in a baby magazine I was reading...I dida search and came up with these websites

I think you should be able to add a maternity rider on through the insurance that you already have, but those things usually have a waiting period before they go into effect. I'd definitely call your insurance to ask about this ASAP.

I think short term disability covers it. Maybe look into that.

I don't work anymore... I am just a stay at home mom.   I am thinking about changing insurance companies... or possibly using the maternity card program. Hmmm... what to do...
