JOSIAH IS HERE 7-8-08

So my lil man decided he was ready to come. He is doing great. Here goes my labor story. Saturday the 5th i was having really bad contractions all day. None of the contractions were showing on the moniter so they thought maybe i was in pain because of the pressure on my cerclage. By sunday the contractions werent as bad so i started thinking i wasnt having contractions after all. On Monday since i was 24wks and a day he started getting moniterd 3 times a day. In the morning when he got moniterd everything was fine. I was still having pains though. At 5 when they had me on the moniter after 10min the nursed rushed in cuz his heartrate dropped. He did that 3 times in 15min. Still no contractions where showing. Every time his heart rate would drop i would have horrible pain. Thats when they realizd i was having contractions. I was givin a shot to stop them but withing 45min i had 4. I was rushed to L&D my doctor came in and told me that we needed to take out my Cerclage. It was taken out at 6:00pm withing a half hour his head was down. The NICU team rushed in only to realize that he popped back up. All night long i kept having super bad contractions and i was at a 7 from 8:00pm till 5:30am. I was in so much pain that by 6:30 am i wanted an epidural. Before they could give it to me they had to do one final exam. It hurt so bad i couldnt stop crying and then the doctor was like your 10 +2. Next contraction you need to start pushing. at 6:45 i had a contraction. They were telling me how to push. The first time i failed miserably cuz i couldnt hold my breath. When i finally did they got to 5 i started screaming that i couldnt and thats when he popped out.
He weighed 1lbs 7oz and is 12inches long. He has been stable ever since he came. He is such a strong little guy. Every day he makes more and more progress.

Thank you. On the 30th my water started leaking so i was givin a dose of steriods and then the next day one more dose. 8 days later he came. The ultra sound said i was 24wks but the NICU doctors said that he looks more like a 25wkr. Which i thought was more like it cuz i know the day i got pregnant. Hes doing good and hopefully in a few weeks his tube to help him breathe will be taken out.

Aww congrats! i will pray he stays healthy.

Thanks. He got his oxygen down which is a good sign. He has been doing really good. I am back at home and since hes in the NICU i am constantly calling to check up on him. It is so amazing him finally being here even though its early.

wow what a strong little boy congrats. How long will he have 2 stay in hospitsl 4? does he have 2 reach a certain weight? he is gorgeous
