bebe Confort Loola

posted 23rd Dec '05
How can you get a hold of a bebe confort in the US? I've heard of many people having them, but just not sure how they got it?? Are they sold in Canada?

Anyone have the Loola? How much does it weigh? I currently have a Pram for neighborhood strolls and a standard stroller for longer errands (a Peg Perego Milano XL) but am looking for something a bit lighter and a more compact fold.

My son is 4 months old, but a BIG 4 month old. Already 18 lbs and 27 inches long.

TIA

It is hard to get a lot of the european strollers here in the US, you can buy them online, buy the shipping overseas will kill you. Have you seen the Bebecar Strollers? They are very similar (in fact, I like them better), and they have a US/Canadian website that ships for free. You should check it out: www.buystrolleronline.com

I just bought my Loola while I was in France and I have to say that I love it, mainly because my son can face me (the seat is reversible) and also because it just looks funky. I had to buy the canopy and the rain cover separatly and so the stroller plus the sun canopy and rain cover ended up costing me over 500 Euros, which is about 700$ USD, and that soesn't include the cot that clips on for when baby is under 6 months. One down side is the very unusable, unaccessible basket.
I think that overall, I'm happy but after having done some more research (and knowing what I know now), I would just buy a Bebecar stroller which seems just as nice. Besides, I think I'm just stroller-obsessed!

Hi Victoria,
I'm interested in seeing your Bebecar stroller pictures. I've been considering buying the Stylo in Sapphire, but I'm a little hesitant b/c I haven't seen it anywhere other than their website. Are the fabrics true to their colors online? I'd be interested in hearing what you thought about the usability, durability, safety, comfort etc of your bebecar stroller (I already think it's very stylish, so how it looks is not a concern!)

Thanks,
Jinah

I have done much research over bebe confort loola stroller from reading peoples' review. Their comments are as follows:
This is not a problem free stroller. Wheels have known to have fallen off and the frame has known to come apart after a couple months of use. Moreover it does not handle the curb well, the entire stroller need to be picked up. However, they have good customer service and would fix your problem and service your stroller. Unfortunately for us here in the US there is no customer support.
After spending so much money importing a stroller, it would be nice to know that it would last.

My Loola was falling apart after only 3 months of use!!! so I had to return it to the store I originally purched it and I'm supposed to receive a new one in exchange with this old one. This is all great but it means that my husband has to carry it back in a box all the way there (by plane AND train!) and the frame is quite heavy (20 pounds) so I don't think it's a great stroller to purchase if you live in America considering that there is no bebe Confort distribution at all on this side of the Atlantic! Hopefully, my new frame has more life in it!
Overall, the Bebe Confort people have been great... it's just a big hassle to bring the thing back to Europ that's all!
