re: The need for name brands.

Quoting Dev22:“ HA HA yeah, I dont get spending thousands on a purse, its a damn purse. I was at a street fair ... [snip!] ... woudl be great for our vacation in Hawaii. It was litterly a peice of cotton fabric. They wanted $75 for. WHAT THE HELL?????”

I thought a motto of someone that I worked with was good. Why carry a purse that is worth more than what you have in it? It makes sense to me. At the time she was trying to some how justify getting herseld a new LV purse but could not.

Quoting Mrs. C:“ Ehh. I got a purse from Walmart once and it fell apart in three days. I have gotten other name brand ... [snip!] ... as expensive as coach) and they last and last. Not to mention Coach and some others have a lifetime warrenty Target does not.”

the more expensive do look better in quality, but I have a tendency of keeping a purse until its down to bare threads, lol. I only own one purse at a time, and I usually dont get rid of them until the handles snap, or a hole forms in the bottom thus not keeping my things in it anymore. The one I got from Target was so cheap and its still goin strong though

I wear make up and decent clothes to work and that's about it. When I was in school, I didn't care at all. I just rolled out of bed, put on my cleanist dirty clothes and was out the door. But now that I'm representing a company I feel I have a duty to look professional on the job, and that includes work appropriate attire and makeup (meaning cover up, mascara, and a bit of blush and not much else). I'm don't consider myself "high maitenance" by any means, though. And I certainly refuse to buy expensive clothes (expensive meaning anything over $20 a peice for pants and $15 for shirts).

I'm not in a position where I need to look a certain way. Maybe one day when I need to start looking for a promotion or somethign I'll feel different. I can't say NEVER but, I highly doubt I'll ever bring myself to bring to "girlie" it up but you never ever know.

Eh, I don't blame you. If you don't have to be what's the point? Especially while running after little kids. You're getting covered in spit up and dirt all the time! Although, I enjoy being girlie, I always have. It's just not that practicle sometimes..

I am a tom boy through and through. I was the girl who's grandma would put her in frilly dresses only to have me go play in the mud or go climb a tree. I've always had that don't give a fuck attitude and I can't see giving it up for anything. Hopefully by the time Piper is 3 I'll be staying at home anyway.

I never understood the desire for name brand merchandise. I know someone $23,000 in debt due to the fact she would spend thousands constantly for clothing for herself and her daughter.

I'm wearing Wal-mart clearance rack black Hanes stetchy capris, two dollar flip flops from Target, a maternity shirt from Goodwill, and a falling apart black hoodie my husband has owned for a decade. Comfort over fashion for me.
