So confused right now

I'm about 34 weeks and this sunday night i had to go to the hospital for really painful contractions. The nurse checked me and said that I'm already 1 cm dialated and that it wasn't good this early. Today I had to go see my doctor and he didn't even check like he was supposed to or anything. I was in pain last night so bad (almost like when i had to go to the hospital) but it went away after a while and today, my lower stomach hurts when I stand and walk and i know that moving around can trigger contractions, and my lower back is killing me. I just dont know if I'm starting to go into premature labor. I also haven't lost my mucus plug but I'm having a lot of discharge and today it was really white, kind of snotty and kind of watery, what do you think? I'm starting to stress out bad.
i read somewhere that you can gradually lose your mucus plug, is that true also?

The snotty discharge may have been your mucous plug. You should lay down and relax, esp. if you are getting contractions when you are up.

IF you're already starting to dialate he probably didn't want to check you too often because of the risk of infection. If the pain is starting again or getting worse and no lasting as long I'd still go to the hospital to be safe. Try calling you ob and see what he says to do. Goodluck sweetie!!!

Hey girl, dont worry..I had my son at 34 weeks to the day and he is healthy and doing so good...they can give you a med to stop the contractions. Its called turbuteline..If something happens that you have him early at this point he'll be fine. My son did have to stay in the hospital for two weeks but everything is fine. Have faith and hang in there...Make sure you stay in bed. It sounds like the baby is ready to come and anything you can do to keep it in there will be the best the longer the better but if that baby is ready to come it will be ok!!!

Oh and I forgot, your mucus plug regrows itself...I lost that at 21 weeks but they dont worry to much about it because it just regenerates...
