family matters

ok so here goes.........
my step dad passed away in august 26 and this year will be one year. well he was kinda like me when it came to the dad thing except his left before he was born. well anyways john (my step dad) tried to locate his father almost 4/5 years ago and never could find him. well today my mom got a phone call and it was from a social worker who said this man was tryin to get in touch with john. come to find out it was his father who is now dying from lung cancer......he is kentucky and has no family except for us and my mom wants to bring him down here so that he can see his grandchildren (jonathan, me, amanda, dustin, and courtney) but he cant see his son cuz he is almost a year late for that. aparrently john also has a sister of which his father doesnt know where she is either. we have had ALOT of drama in our family but not anything like this for awhile so just write me thanx

How do you feel? Do you want to meet him or do you want to write him off like he did your Step-Dad a long time ago? I personally don't have anything like this in my family, but my husbands mother took off about 5 years ago and both he and his sister don't forgive her and don't want anything to do with her and it breaks my heart. I want them to reconnect. People make mistakes and I think they should be given the opportunity to make amends. I think it is sad that he is too late to meet his son, but knowing that your Step-Dad wanted to find him, I think you guys should meet him for your Step-Dad... JMO. i want to meet him i mean i don't have a problem with him at all. like me and my father i dont care about him cuz it was more than just him leavin but i would love to meet all my half siblings that i have by him.
