I know that no one knows for sure, but i was wondering what color eyes my daughter might have when she gets her permenant color.
I have really blue eyes and my fiances eyes are DARK brown... almost look black! I dont care either way, but was just wondering what color eyes your kids eyes turned out to be.
thanks!

Blue eyes is a recessive gene, so unless she gets a recessive from her father also that he carries, I think 3 times out of 4 it will be dark eyes.. (if I remember correctly)

There has been a previous topic on this about 5 minutes ago, but I have no idea how to link it to here!

I have brown eyes and my husband has brown/hazel eyes. Both of our daughters have ended up with blue eyes. Both my husband and I must have a recessive blue eye gene....you have to have 2 recessive genes (one from each parent)for the recessive trait to show up.

Brown eyes is the dominant gene. However, if you have family members who have blue eyes then that gene could bind with your guy's blue eye gene and well you will get a baby with blue eyes. But here is something interested. Both of my parents have dark brown eyes that look almost black and I have an uncle with green eyes. Well myself and my brothers have dark brown eyes, but my brother's middle son has green eyes. And both my brother and my sister-in-law have dark brown eyes.

Brown is more dominant but neither of my kids ended up with brown eyes. My son has baby blues and my daughter has an awesome blue green. Mine started out blue but have gotten greener and grayer over the years. Their father had chocolate brown eyes. It's all in the luck of the draw. My parents had brown and green eyes and ended up with hazel, green, and blue eyed daughters.
