too late to get my supply back?

i know it can be done.. my son is 7 months old and as most of you know has some health problems..well earlier today i felt let down which was really weird..wel anyways my doc said that he doesn't need to be on 22 cal formula no more and i would love more than anything in the world to breast feed him since its gonna be another couple of months till he eats baby food and hes probally gonna be on formula till hes 14 months old ( his adjusted year age).. any ideas?

Were you still breatfeeding with the formula?

Pump, hand express, put that baby on the boob the more milk you let out they more you make.
i also believe you can get something from the doc to help boost your supply
Oh and drink lots and lots of water

try hun, thats all you can do   just keep latching him, eventually it should come back. if people can breastfeed who adopted a child i think you should be able to do it  

i really really want to do this! more than anything right now, i mean i really believe with everything he has giong on my breast milk is the next thing for him... im kinda nervous about taking fenugreek or mothersmilk tea because he takes heart medicine and has other health problems... but i really want to.. i heard drinkin milk is good?

I used Mother's Milk Tea (herbal tea) when I was breastfeeding. It increased my milk supply. Pumping a lot too will help stimulate the milk flow. Good book to read is Dr William Sears' Breastingfeeding book....they do talk about reviving your milk supply in it.

drinking any liquids is good   i wouldnt risk the herbs either. you can drink a beer and feed him after it gets out of your system. bu constant latching and suckling will work if you keep at it   i cant believe hes 7 months! how is he doing? how are you doing.

Really people can breast feed if they haven't had a baby. I've never heard of that.

yeah, i dont know the sucess rate, but i read about a lady who did it. she said she got funny looks because her baby was obviously from a different country.

i worked and ent to school and lylin hasnt had to supplement.
