In theory....good idea but two things

1) if she pees enough she'll soak through
2) if she is anything like my two year old, she moves every where in bed!

I did the towel thing. And my daughter didn't give 2 craps about wetting her bed. Or her underwear for that matter. She wasn't the easiest kid to train ;)

Also it would depend on if the kid gets upset. Personally I wouldnt make mine self conscious like that. Some kids get very upset and ashamed that they wet the bed. IMO its a learning experience and until they can go a couple nights waking up dry then I would let them wear pull-ups to bed. After all some kids wet the bed much longer which is why they make waterproof sheets and big kid pull-ups.

Yeah I still use them and my kids have never wet the bed. They do tend to drag drinks and thngs in their room and have had a few vomit instances so it has saved many mattresses lol They usually cost about $20 sometimes more but IMO its well worth it.

You could or at the store they sell the waterproof pads. I had a couple of those thick ones from the hospital.

Really it's not that bad. You know your kid best and that's what makes it easier. Everyone says not to push it (I even did at the beginning of this thread) but at one point I realized my daughter was perfectly capable of properly using the toilet, so I made her. We haven't looked back since that first day. When the time comes, you'll know what will work best for her, and how much time she needs and so on.

Yes skip the pull ups! My daughter has been on and off the potty train and she is already 3 years old. I am stressing it, but I try and tell myself one day she will go potty in the potty so not to force it. My daughter has been in pull ups since she was 18 mos old and she thinks it is okay to pee in them just not poop. It is very annoying I even tried the feel and learn and she doesn't care. The only time she pee's in the potty is if she is runnin around naked

^^^I had the same problem, only she would pee in panties...we didn't do pull up during the day. So we stopped, figured she wasn't ready, then two months later she told use she wanted panties....so we had the where does pee pee and poo poo go talk and she did just fine. A few accidents or near accidents (would start to pee and then run for the potty and finish in there) but for the most part it was easy at that point. Have no fear, it will happen! and probably soon!
