baby hates baths/diaper changes

posted 10th Jul
My baby almost always cries when I change or bathe him. I don't know if its because he's cold or if his skin is just too sensitive. He's 3 weeks old now so I'm wondering how much longer he's going to be like this. has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to help your baby stop crying?

Most newborns do that. My daughter started enjoying her bath around 3-4 months. As for the diaper thing, I think she was about 6 months before she stopped hating it. It's different for every baby, but just know it's only temporary and he will stop crying from it eventually.

oh well at least it ends! I hate changing him because I feel like its hurting him or something... I guess he's just sensitive. he'll grow out of it though right

Mine is almost four weeks and does the same thing. I haven't figured anything out for the diaper but I find that if I keep sprinkling her with warm water with her washcloth then she kind of just stops crying and looks around.

Sorry momma. Lucas has loved bath time and diaper changes from day one.

He bathes with me and we play with rubber ducks.
&he screams if his diaper is dirty, but the moment you start to undress him to change him he laughs hysterically.

My son is almost 8 months and still screams when it comes to bath time. For some reason he just doesn't like it =( Although now that he can sit up and play he is getting a bit better.
Diaper changes on the other hand he loves and laughs about and tries to take his own diaper off all the time, LOL.
