im a little scared about going to the docters today because when i went last week i was dailated 1 cm and i have been doing lots of walking my friends and family think i have dailated more and i have herd that once u reach 3 cmtha your docter wel have you sent to the hospital to have the baby is this true are not does anyone know

not true... i was at 4 cm at 34 weeks and i never went into labor on my own and had to be induced at 41 weeks... unless your in labor they wont admit you, but they might induce you if you are at 6 or more... this is according to my OB though, yours may be different

My doctor dint induce me till I was at a 5 with my second kid. my first son my water broke when I was at a 2/ so it all depends on you doctor

I was 5cm dilated when I went to my 38 week appointment. He didn't send me to the hospital, but I had him strip my membranes and I went into labor that night.

No I was 3cm for almost 3 weeks with my first.

My best friend was 4 cm and 70% and they just told her to go home, but be aware that she was that far. She went into labor that same night, but they didn't force her into the hospital to deliver. I think most doctors prefer to let it go natural if they can help it.

It all depends on the doctor. If you're not having regular contractions and are at a three then they probably won't keep you. My water broke at 3cm so they kept me w/ my first. Some people can be dialated at a 5 and not having regular contractions and get sent home until their water breaks or they have regular contractions.
