dialation question

At about what week do doctors usually start checking you for dialation. my dr. was concerned about pain I'd been having and checked me two weeks ago.
but I'm just wondering when doctors will begin to rutinely check me.

He finally start at 40 weeks. So I don't everyone is different. 

I asked to be checked at 37 weeks, but my doctor said he normally doesn't check until 38.

Mine start checking at 34 weeks. Last time when they checked that early i was already dialted to 4 cms... but i never went into labor on my own and had to be induced at 41 weeks..

Mine normally starts at 36 once you start coming every week, I was checked when i was like 33 wks or something cause i was having crazy pains but now she does it every week.

I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow and I have a dr. apt tonight. So he checked me last at about 33 weeks because I was cramping a lot. and well I'm still crampy so i'm just curious if he'll check again. last time my cervix was shut.
I'm mainly concerned about this because my fiance's two daughters have to go with us to appointments and when the dr. does the lower checks I prefur them be out of the room, which means nate has to leave too. and I don't want HIM out of the room when this is being done because I don't want him to miss anything ya know. I want him by my side. So once I kinda know when he'll be checking I want to try and find someone to babysit the girls during my appointments.

Mine started at my last appointment, 36 weeks and will check every week until i have the baby
