Venting

So my fiance is determined to name our daughter Rylee which I'm not crazy about so I said, why don't we compromise and name her Marlee which is kinda like Rylee but it starts with an M because I want her name to start with an M because mine does. Well he says that he's just gonna call her Rylee regardless. Well, he single-handedly named our son and I was ok with it even though it wasn't my first choice for a name. I don't call my son something else! Ugh, he's being impossible.

But last night he did say that I looked sexy pregnant which is nice because I don't feel sexy. And he was a little bit drunk so I know he meant it, lol.

So why doesn't he let you name the girl? Seeing that he named the boy.

we just went through that with the names. he will ease up or bring it up when hes preg and start crying. thats what i did and the next day when he was sober he was like lets get the name thing straightened out and we had a name an hour later. i like some and not others but we comprimised on it. if he choose the boys name then use it against him when your crying!!

you should tell him if he doesnt compromise you are just going to name her since he named your boy. and he can just get over it. lol

That's mean as hell.If my hubby ever said he was gonna name the baby himself or call it what he wants regardless of her name I would be PISSED! it's both your kid. Me and my hubby went back and forth forever til we came up with names we both liked. That's the way it should be. He sounds mean.

He should let you name her since he got to name your son. marlee sounds way cuter then rylee anyways. hes probably just telling you that hes going to call her rylee regardless just so you have to name her that. he should share =)

Well we had another boy's name picked out that we both loved, but he said if it's a girl you can name her since I named Anthony. I think he only said that to sound nice because he was pretty sure we were having another boy. Well, it's a girl and now he doesn't like any of my names. I think Marlee is way cuter too but close enough to what we both want that we should both be happy. I told him he was being mean and childish and he said, "I'm helping you out really, when the kids grow up to hate their names they can only blame me..."

He's a bigger baby then my 1 year old.

I thought I would update. My fiance came home from work and was asking everyone what they thought of Marlee and seems to be acknowledging (sp?) her name so thats good!

my husband let me think our daughter's name was my idea b/c her first name is my dad's name and her middle name is my mom's. but he actually just really loved the names. 
so then when we had a son he wanted to be the one to name him. his reasoning was i got to name the girl he gets to name the boy. he gave me the middle name but he kept pushing for the middle name he wanted and eventually i gave in. my son's first name is my husband's middle name (which is the name he goes by) and his middle name is james after lebron james. i wanted reid after the genius from criminal minds which is my favorite show and my dream job.
