Yeah, it got to me too that they knew NOTHING about how a NICU works and they started to claim things like they did. But thats just how those girls are. Anyways, congrats on your twins! How are they doing? I know, c-sections suck, but it gets better. Where in Maryland do you live? Is that on the Eastern Shore? I have family all over there.
Quoting Jessica+2:“ Congratulations on your babies!”Thank youuu!!! Glad 2 see your daughter and son are doing well!!

Quoting Anntavia:“ lol. Thanks. They are doing pretty good. Still have some work to get through! I'm just glad to see them ... [snip!] ... my insecion, but its nothing too serious. And did you bf when she was in the NICU, because I have a quick question about that.”Well, if they are out of the incubators and in an open crib together, that means that they will be out of there pretty soon. I got better from my c-section at around 3 or 4 weeks, but the right side of it got a little infected and I had to go on antibiotics and it hurt more than the left side. But now I am almost 10 weeks PP and I am pretty much fully recovered. I did breast feed while she was in the NICU. I started like a week before she came home. A few days later though we resorted back to bottle only because she was not gaining enough weight. I now breastfeed her a couple times a day, and just yesterday her doctor said when she reaches about 8 pounds, we can try to breastfeed only. (She is 5lbs 12 oz now). Do try to breastfeed while your boys are in there though, the nurses are really good about helping and coaching you through it. Preemies are much harder to breastfeed because they tire easily. But if it something you really want to do, go for it. Dont give up. they will eventually get the hang of it.

I was planning on breastfeeding, but with school and everything I feel like I wont have the time to pump or anything. I really dont want to change their feeding schedule when they leave the NICU to come home. Their feeding times are an hour apart, but I waant to stop pumping once they get home, but I dont know how soon I should stop because I dont know how strong their stomachs would be if I just immedietly switch to formula. How did your right side get infected? I dont really rest much, because I'm getting everything for the babies to get home so I'm picking up heavy stuff and everything. On top of that I went to my boyfriends party, which had alcohol, and my best friend got drunk for the 1st time and she kept falling and everything and no one would help me with getting her to sit down and stop falling so every time she fell I had to pick her up. This was my 1st time seeing a drunk person, because I've never drunk a day in my life nor hung out with people who have done wild drinking so I really didnt know what to do since i was alone and I was around careless people. So picking her up by myself and trying to get her to sit down and stop her from trying to let people be sexual with her was pretty stressful and put a lot of pressure on my stomach. So I dont know if that's a possible chance of having an infection.
Quoting Jessica+2:“ Thanks! How early were your boys? How old are they now?”

I fyou are going to use formula, talk to their doctor now about what formula you should put them on if you chose to . I odnt really know how it got infected. I kept it clean and dry, but it still happened. All it takes is for one little bit of bacteria and, boom, you have an infection. Well no wonder silly that your insicion still hurts. I know its hard, and Im the same way, but you HAVE TO take it easy. Your babies need a healthy mama. Go see your doctor if you think its infected. It will be red, hot, and have puss or blood seeping out. But you probably just over did it. Take it easy for the next couple of weeks until you are fully healed.

Tonight when I got finished cleaning my insicion it started to burn really really really bad! Just a few minutes ago I looked at it and it was pretty red....Should I call the doctor right away just to see if there is a problem?

There is this thing called MRSA (antibiotiv resistant infection) and you dont want to get it.
