over sensitive pregnant and hungry

so my best friend had her baby tonight, and she had her dh call me like 4 hours after. which hurts my preggo feelings becasue i was suppose to be there. not to mention i called her this morning and sent her a text. and i want a cookie. and i dont have any in the house. ya know after 10 + years of friendship i thought i was a little higher on the calling list then 4 hours later.


like i said over sensitive.

Girl, I understand but sometimes things get hectic. It says you have two kids, you should know lol!! At least she called! A lot of my friends that I have been friends with for 5+ years wanna be called right away, and quite honestly they'll be lucky if someone remembers to call them sometime that day or nite. Especially with this being our first baby. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but at least she DID call you! And I'm sorry I have no cookies or I'd so give you one!

thanks a cookie would so help. she does this shit all the tim e and i just need to build a bridge, she also eloped to vegas and was married for 3 months before i knew, so wtf.

Wow. It sounds like your friendship means more to you than to her. I don't wanna push a button or anything but have you considered she might be trying to "grow apart" from you for some reason? B/c that does not sound like the kind of stuff I would do to a long term good friend. If i was really wanting to continue being their good friend.

Well im sure you werent the first person she was thinking about while giving birth. sorry to be harsh.

If you feel this way , im probably going to offend alot of people when I give birth . The last thing you think about is your calling list after you just had a baby . And as for the wedding , maybe her and her husband were just trying to keep things personal between the two of them 

This is kind of super sensitive and selfish. When you are giving birth friends and family are the last things that are on your mind. Even after the birth there may have been complications, she may have been tired, etc. When I got married and had children there was some distance between me and my girl friends. I still love them the same but my family comes first. If you want to continue being her friend you have to understand that she has a family now and they come first. I am sure she loves you the same but that is a part of growing up.

Well i could se ehow someone could come in here an assume something like that, however, the friendship is not like that. this was the wrong forum for such a topic, i should have just woken up my husband and gotten the reassurance that i needed from someone who knows the situation ect, ect.

Well ya know what I say BE EMOTIONAL! If you have feeling let them out dammit. You are pregnant and hormonal! Hell, if you wanna be hurt about your friend not calling, then be hurt. Don't let anyone tell you how you should feel or what may have occured at the time. Yeah we all know logically she was very preoccupied and all that good stuff BUT you are pregnant. This is the only time you have to be emotional and have a valid excuse! LOL!
I dont have cookies but i do have mini donuts! LMAO...
