advice

my sister is in jail and she just called and asked if i would go with my mom tommorrow to see her. this is the last time i will be able to see her for almost 2 years she is being shipped to a prison up in north louisisana. my only dilema is i will have to bring my 4 year old son and i dont know how i feel about taking him to a jail... anyone else ever bring their child to a jail?

We take my brothers kids to see him all the time its a one time thing for your son and hes little he probably wont remember.

Find a babysitter...jail is no place to take your kid.

Yes, I have taken my son there before but I had to bring a friend to watch him because he couldn't go in. Its not that bad .... I would take your son that way he could see her also because I'm sure it would make her happy.... I't not that bad!

Your son probably won't remember. I took my child to jail to visit a cousin and she didn't like it.

well we took my lil brother to see another one of my brothers and they had a playroom for the kids to go to right in the visiting room. at that age he doesnt have to know hes going to a JAIL you can just tell him hes gonna go visit auntie where she lives at. its telling the truth without all the details

My best friend took her son to see her boyfriend in jail,sons father.

I dont think he'll remember.

I took my son to see my uncle when he was around that age...Just here in Michigan (I don't know how it is anywhere else) we had to talk through the glass though, because of my son's age. It was fine.

Is he allowed to go there and will he even be allowed to see her? I know depending on the jail and level of security they limit or have a preapproved list of guests so you may wanna check before you go to avoid any hassle if you do decide to go.

Hmmm where I live you can't even take a kid under 10 or something like that... I took my daughter to see her dad and they wouldn't let me....so idk really
