Pregnant Bride

posted 9th Jul
Alrighty... I will be 27 weeks tomorrow. The wedding date is set for July 29th. I still have no dress. I have been looking everywhere and cant find ANYTHING that would work.
Does any one know of a website that has dresses that aren't terribly expensive, are not ugly, and would fit a pregnant woman? It doesn't have to be an actual wedding dress. I'm just looking for something in a light color (white, cream, light pink, light yellow, etc.), empire waist would be nice... I've always liked them even before getting pregnant. My dream dress right now would be a white empire waist dress that hits in the middle of my knee (I'm 5'9 1/2) with a bright green silk ribbon under the bust line that ties into a bow in the back. -Angela-

The only thing that I can recommend is going to Davids Bridal. They always have lots to chose from. But you might run into a problem being that its only like 2 or so weeks away. I hope you find something!

Yeah, prom dresses should be on clearance right now and if you could find an empire waist one you would just have to alter the hemline to make up for the belly! I saw a really pretty one at Macy's and another one at Debs if you have those stores near you.

This one is a little longer than you said you wanted, but I think it would look really cute with a belly!

Thank you all so much. My mother used to make gowns for girls competing in Miss. USA and Miss. Teen USA and made clothes for my sisters and I all the time growing up. But she in in the Netherlands now and I am not. We are planning on her getting here the end of next week... but I'm worried we wont have enough time for her to alter a dress with everything else going on. I managed to find a few cute ones on ebay. What do you all think of this one:

The problem with it is that it says it's a 2X. I'm much smaller than that. Do you think it's possible to take something in by SEVERAL sizes without it looking awful? -Angela-
