Fluid in baby kidneys

Yesterday I went to the doctors for my u/s appointment. When the nurse was checking to make sure everything was okay with the twins. The nurse tells me that one of the twins has fluid in her kidneys and she tells me that it could get worst. Im very nerves and scared at this point but im trying to stay positive and pray that it goes away. I have to go in every two weeks now to make sure it doesnt get worst. Im just wondering did anybody else have this problem when they were pregnant and if so what was your outcome of it all.

yea they told me at my last visit the babies kidneys are a little bigger than they want and theres fluid backing into them. I go back tomorrow to see if its any better. My doctor told me not to worry...Ill let you know what happens tomorrow.

i have a blatter infection that was starting to cause preterm labor but thank god im on meds now..kayden is fine too..im on bed rest until monday and have to go in to get the OKAY to go back to work.

I hope everything goes good for you too. My doctor said worse case sinario my baby would have to be on antibiotics for the first couple of months, but he said for me not to worry.

Well thats a good thing 2 know as long as its something they can do about it.

they said she would be more prone to UTI's or something like that...I hope they look better tomorrow....fingers crossed

is that the same as they said about your baby? that the kidneys were measuring big?

The lady actually told me that the baby just had fluid in the kidneys, and that it could be because the baby could be urinating alot. She also told be that this may cause twin 2 twin transfusion down the road which is very scary.

I too had this with my son....I was told not to worry as this seems to happen many times. My son was born July 29 and all seems fine. We have an apt for an ultra sound just to make sure the fluid is gone. I was worried too, but not anymore.
