My husband is way into the gym too, but if he'd said that stuff to me while I was pregnant I'd freak out! I'm sorry he's being that way.   You do what you need to to take care of yourself and baby and he can deal with it!

hey you live in the same area as I do.

1st you can get hired, no one needs to ask if you are pregnant. I knew a girl who was hired at 6 month pregnant. Yep, they didn't care.

You live in CA you would still get 6 weeks disablitly after you have the baby. Once you've been there a year you can have up to 6 months.

As for you husband, tell him that you'll work out as much as you feel up too. Explain to him that your body is using every extra bit of energy to make sure your baby is healthy and that in a few weeks you should be back up with more energy to do something.

I also just wanted to mention that you can get depressed while pregnant and it can get really bad. Just so that you are able to keep an eye on how you are feeling that's a lot of bad stuff going on.

I'm not kidding lol I have a suitcase sitting in the closet and he has been warned not to say a WORD about my pregnancy or I am filling it with his shit. Its his fault to and I dont like the way I look anyways so no talking about my body period! I'm mean that way though   Luckly the only thing I get is youre beautiful, sexy, hot, etc. which still pisses me off sometimes because I dont FEEL that way. I know there is no pleasing me sometimes lol.

Thanks.. needed that ladies. <3 *muah*

He says he doesn't want me to work out to lose weight right now, he wants me to work out "Because exercise makes you feel better!" ..but yeah.. who wants to work out when they have no energy, feel like crap, it's 108 degrees outside and I can barely see out my window because of how smokey it is.. not me!
In his defense, he is really good to me. He's taken a second job to help out and gives me a lot of attention.. he pets my belly and talks to it all the time. He's been really involved in all aspects, and reads the pregnancy books I buy before I can even read them sometimes!   I just wanna smack him about this gym thing!!

Oh, about the job thing - I'm kind of starting to show right now. They can ask you if you have any health conditions, and you HAVE to tell them you're pregnant. Also, the jobs I'm going for are really long-term positions - if I do tell them I'm pregnant, my years of experience are basically null and void if they know I'm going to be leaving in a few months.   Frustrating.

Even my ex who is a TOTAL asshole knows better than to talk shit about my body, pregnant or not...he's always telling me how pretty/gorgeous/sexy I am. I know what you mean though sometimes I feel so gross I just know that he must be saying it to make me feel better. The only thing he ever jokes about is my fat ass but that doesn't bother me cause I know he loves it and he doesn't do it when I'm being all sensitive and body conscious. We're not even together right now and everytime I see him, which is not that often, he tells me how good my body looks.

And even if I didn't/don't look that great his dick is the reason.

They can not! The only way they can ask you is if you have a dangerous health problem..heart problems, lung problems ect. Regardless of showing they can not ask you. And you're only leaving for what? 6 weeks..maybe alittle longer. That means nothing.

I know excerise increases the endorphins in your body and that's supposed to be uplifting but right now chances are a chick flick and a tub of ice cream or large amount of whatever you're craving will make you feel a HELL of a lot better than a session at the gym.

You do not have to tell them you are pregnant or any other health issues. That's the law.

BTW, I've never been asked about my health during a job interview. Only asked about how I handle calling in sick. which is normal.

Same here. And they asked me if I have any dangerous health issues, such as heart and lung problems. Something that could spontaneously happen on the job and could be very serious to my health. I just went for a job interview and they didn't ask me a damn thing. I don't have to tell them I'm pregnant for as long as I want, basically.

Sometimes I wish he WOULD say something (not during pregnancy though) I think if he said something maybe it would get me to WANT to go do something. I know my "goal" weight but getting to it is difficult to do when you have kids to take care of so I'm usually like 5 maybe 10 pounds above my goal.

You should clue him in on that one before your hormones do it for you! Maybe explain to him that the slight energy that you do have you would rather spend reading books about pregnancy or going to maternity classes or even just sitting on your ass and growing that baby. The sooner he figures out that you won't be able to do as much as you used to the better. Maybe you can get a sympathy belly and make him wear it for a day

Jeff tells me that we're going to work out as soon as I can after the baby. I like that he tells me that. It's not only that he wants my body back but he wants me to be healthy too. And him telling me that and letting me know he'll do it with me helps.

They arent suppose to even ask are they? I know a lot of places dont because they cant NOT hire you for any medical reason or its discrimination.
