Sleep Issues
posted 9th Jul
I have a daughter who is 19 months old. I am having a terrible time getting her to sleep thru the night. As a matter of fact, she has never slept thru the night at all. I have put her into a toddler bed and she will sleep for a few hours at a time and then wakes up screaming. I think she is having night terrors because she does not usually know I am there and it is almost impossible to comfort her. I am not getting any sleep at all thru the night and I am preggers again. I am losing my mind and just want a suggestion on how to get her to sleep. Even if I let her cry it out, she still keeps me up for hours.

dose she sleep with a night light? We just started not useing a night light now but Joshua need to sleep wit one. Last night he kept waking up every coupel of hours. He wasn't hungry or anything. I didnt know whats to do until my boyfriend told me that Joshua wants the night light on. So i turned it on and gave Joshua his pacifier and he didn't wake up till the usual time.

One way i know to get a toddler to sleep is do a sleep chart... Basically you have different incentives like the park or go to the pool ect... And for everyday she stays in bed and sleeps the whole night she gets a sticker on one of the incentives once its filled up she gets that prize but the bigger the prize the more stickers it requires... Also like if she doesnt make it through the night try and cut her some breaks... It can be hard tho i mean its a big girl bed and the thought can be a lil scary like a huge promotion at work ya know? This is my first pregnancy so im lookin forward to the who toddler years lol But i hope the idea helps and Good Luck!
