there is no problem at all! people do it all the time!! so she could put the babys daddys name on there if she wants to , they are not that detailed about it. you choose the name and the last name no questions asked.

I think it might be different in every state. My cousin is still married to her ex (they separated over a year ago, and are started the divorce proceedings.) but she had her boyfriends daughter, the hospital told her that her boyfriends name could not be on the birth certificate until she was divorced or went to court. So she's going next week in family court.

I just asked my friend who is an officer in the USMC and he said THAT IS ILLEGAL! and her husband and her can both get in alot of troub and he could possibly go to the brig or be dishornorbly discharged ITS FRAUD

This is about the only thing you've said that I disagree with ;) . People used to get married for all kinds of reasons "in the olden days" that didn't necessarily have to do with love. Strengthening family ties, security, etc.

But a contract marriage set up specifically to steal money from someone else would be illegal (the stealing part, not necessarily the "marrying without love"). And the adultery associated with the OP's friend's situation is also an issue.
