BIRTH CERTIFICATE

OKAY SO MY HUBBY HAS A CHILD FROM A ONE NITE STAND BEFORE WE WERE TOGETHER...THE BABYS MOM DECIDES TO LET HIM KNOW ALMOST 2 YRS LATER..HES DONE EVERYTHING RIGHT..GONE TO ALL HIS COURT DATES AND IS PAYING CHILD SUPPORT..THE BABYS MOM WONT ALLOW MY HUBBY TO SEE HIS SON..BECAUSE HES NOW MARRIED..(YES SHE STRAIGHT UP SAID THAT)WELL MY HUBBY IS GETTING OUT THE MARINE CORP SOON AND WERE MOVING BACK TO NEW YORK..THE THING IS MY HUBBY WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF HES ON THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE..HOW CAN HE FIND OUT..PLEASE HELP THANKS

He can contact the vital records department in the county where the baby was born. They will be able to provide a copy of the birth certificate.

If he's paying support, he has every right to see his child. He can report her I beleive, or not pay support til he see's the baby.

if he is paying child suporrt then most likely his on the birth cert, i say take her to court, because vistiations and suporrt are 2 different things, he needs to take her to court to see his son, she cant not let him see his son because he is married no judge would ok that

if he didnt sign the birth certificate he isnt on it has he had a paternity test done on this child? if not he needs to and take her to court for custody

I believe in order to be issued for child support he HAS to be on the birth certificate... *dont quote me on it* so I would say tell him to ask the mother, and if she puts up a fight i believe you can find out through the courts. im not sure.

Have him apply for the birth certificate. He needs to know the mothers full name and place of birth and provide proper ID. If his name is on it then he'll be able to get it, the certificate not the child.

He's paying child support? He has every right to see his child. Ifthe mother doesn't comply then your husband can go to court for his visitation rights. If he wants to know if his name's on the certificate he can go to the county and ask for a copy. If his name's not on there then they won't give him a copy.

i think he needs to go to the county clerk or something like that in the records department to find out

me and aaron are goin threw the same thing, cept they said since the DNA test came back and aaron is the father, he is to be put on the BC even though his son has his mothers name. but thats here in utah i dunno anywhere else

Has there been a paternity test done just to make sure?

here in michigan you do not have to be on the berth cert to pay child suporrt

In my county, the only person that signs the birth certificate is the doctor.

thats weird. here in VA you have to be on the birth certificate and have a paternity test done. if i believe correctly on the paternity test part.
