I didn't sign the birth certificates for my first two boys because I was too drugged up. But I'm listed and one was born in Cali and the other in Utah. My hubby didn't sign the birth certificate for our third, and he's on it.

so how do they determine child support in MI? is it upon paternity test?

yes, he was found to be the father, but did not want to go on the birth cert and she had a guy that wanted to i guess, all i really know is that he is paying child suporrt and is not on the birth cert, but i know that aileys dad wants to sign off and he cant and he is not on her birth cert either, if i was to go after suporrt he would have a dna test and then pay but not go on the birth cert because he wants nothign to do with her and still has to pay

i didnt believe it could be done till my friends ex proved me wrong, and then i talked to a lawyer about it becasue of aileys dad and he said yes it is possiable, i was wow say what, i was amazed

Here they only needed my signature and obviously my hubby is on it... Some states require the man to be [resent to be on the bfc... If he cannot get a copy of it, hes most likely not on it.

lol I am amazed at every new thing i learn every day.

i had to fill out paper work when i was in the hospital last, and it asked if, if i wanted my partner on the BC and have his last name and im like um yeah since he is her father, and i think they said all Aaron has to do is sign a paper because we arent married before he gets added to the BC. if we were married when she is born, he gets put on it without having to sign
