New girl.. lots of questions!

hi guys I am lindsay I am 21 years old. I am 9 weeks pregnant this past MOnday. Im due feb 11 I was wondering if you guys had any symptoms when u were having a boy or girl.. And how hard is it to lose the weight afer? Im very nervous. I have a past of an eating disorder. I currnetly weigh 135 lbs. and am 5'4" Do you think i'll start showing in a few weeks?

Welcome   I had a boy and was sick all the time and craved salty foods, but it varies from person to person. I didn't show until 17 weeks. I'm 5'7" and weighed 115 pre preggo. I got up to 132 but I had my son at 30 weeks. It took no time for the weight to come off but once again, everyone is different.

welcome!! i hardly had any sickness at all with my daughter. i started showing around 23-24 weeks andi got super swollen around 25 weeks. i was 124 preprego, 5'0 tall, and i gained about 50 lbs. i was 172 when i had my daughter at 38 weeks and lost 25 lbs in the first 2 weeks. im 3 months post pardum and i still have about 25 lbs to go. good luck  

oh, and i craved lots of carbs and sweets!!

Well i was 107 before i got pregnant, now im 21 weeks and weigh 118. I lost a poundin the beginning, but its slowly coming! I stopped being sick at about 17 weeks, every once inawhile i get natious, but ill drink alot of water and lay down.

This is my 4th pregnancy...all boys...all different. With each one, I never gained more than 15 pounds and was back to prepregnancy weight within a couple weeks. Each person is different. With my first pregnancy, I did not show until about 20 weeks. With this last one, I was showing by 10 weeks. Good luck and try not to worry about the weight too much, at least it is a weight gain for a purpose.

Thanks girls.. I've had bad NIGHTIME sicnkess actually worse then anything else. no mornig sickness though.. im wondering when ill start to show. my mom showed w/ me and my sister around 3 months, so i duhno if i will.. also, are stretch marks hereditary do you know?

Everyone is different. My morning sickness started at 5 weeks and finally ended the day our girl was born. I also craved cheetos and ice cream, actually cheetos DIPPED in ice cream. The weight for me was a concern. I too had an eating disorder as a teen. But once I held my daughter I didn't care what my body looked like because I had just given birth to this amazing human being and it was so worth it. I am not saying at all that your past eating disorder won't come back to haunt you though. Like I said, everyone is different. Don't let it be a huge issue. It's mind over matter. And right nowwhat matters is you have to support life.

from what people tell me,if you get em your ganna get em,no matter what you do. I use a stretch mark cream just to help them fade, but ive heard they are hereditary,my mom got them and i am too.

i'm 22 weeks and just really started a few weeks ago...like where i didn't just look pudgy. I'm having a boy. I crave bagel bites and chicken fingers and watermelon and canteloupe. I was hardly sick at all. I just have really bad heartburn. Oh, and at my 22 week appt I still had only gained 3 pounds.

well my mom doesn't have any stretch marks at all...and im 19 weeks and i dont have any yet...im sure ill get a few..but if i go by heredity...then i guess im in luck! .....i had sickness throughout the whole day, morning and night..afternoons too! idk what im having yet..i find out next thursday! good luck!

With my boy, I had BAD morning, afternoon AND night sickness with EVERYTHING I ate for about almost 5 mons. straight. With this pregnancy which is a girl I only had sickness at night and it went away after the 4th mon. With my boy I didn't really crave anything but this one I crave more sweets. I gained a lot of weight with my son and I think? I'm going down that route again. I guess everyone's different, but I'm determined to take off the weight with bfeeding and staying active. With the stretch marks, I'm not sure if they really are hereditary because my mom seemed to have really lil ones and she had 5 kids. I have them but mostly from my first pregnancy.

stretchmarks are genetic. if you got them from growing durning puberty you will more than likely get them while your prego. just make sure to use a lot of cocoa butter. it wont prevent them totally but it will help you not get them so bad.

well i dunno if u will be showing in a few weeks but then again everyone is diff.. im 16 weeks and 2 days and im still not showing... im due dec 22.. i dont know wut im having yet but i havent been really craving anything..

I'm due Feb 8th. I'm 5'even and weight 100lbs & I'm not showing at all. I haven't really had any symptoms either besides sore boobs.

hi! my name is Kristin, it's nice to meet you... let's see if I can help with your questions. I'm actually 31 weeks so I'm really not sure how long it will take to loose the weight. morning sickness, well if you haven't gotten it yet you more then likely wont get it at all... I got all day sickness mainly nausea. I didn't throw up but I spent pleanty of time with my head inthe trashcan or the toilet thinking that I was going to cause I felt so horrible. as for when you'll start showing, that really depends on you... I started showing kind of early in the game cause I'm tiny tiny. just be sure to keep healthy and happy and everything will be fine   oh and you find out between 18 and 22 weeks I believe... I found out at 20 weeks...
