Tanning Beds.

Ok, recently my neighbor and I started tanning so when I go back to hawaii, I won't glow in the dark. The first day my boobies and butt/lower back burned to a nice shade of pink. We went back the next day and this time that shade of pink on the ol keester and back are a wee bit darker.


I've never gone tanning before so I don't know if this is the norm, or if it's okay to keep tanning. I put lotion on before I go, Jeremy gets the areas I can't reach, so it's not like I'm just skipping it.

So, tanners, is it norm & ok for me to keep tanning? I only got a 10 day pass so I have 7 sessions left. I wanna tan!

You should not be tanning while pregnant. Try a self tanner...much safer for the baby.

if you are burned untill its healed you will only burn more, i used to run a tanning solan(sp)

I didn't think you were supposed to tan but...
I'd go every 24 hours. It's not good to burn on top of a burn.

You shouldn't be tanning while pregnant and you shouldn't be staying in long enough to get pink if you're not. If you're building a base, you should start at two or three minutes and keep building until you have a bit of color.

You shouldn't tan while burnt, but if its just a little pink i still did it. I just wouldn't if i was noticeably sun burnt.

Actully i asked my dr about that and he said it was fine they do'nt have any proof of advers effects on the unborn child. You just have to be careful of burns.

ya maybe put sunblock and your butt and boobs they never see sun sothey are the first to burn and you are never supposed to go everyday! an dif you are pregnant extremely unhealthy for the baby

I love tannning. But I was told its not safe for the baby. You can over heat (without even knowing it) very easily and this could harm the baby. I've been mystic tanning a few times and have gotten some color from being outside. I would really avoid tanning beds, but if your going to do it, don't go the full time.

I've always heard it's not good to tan. I go to the pool somedays just to feel some sun and lay in the pool, but I always wear at least an SPF45 and I'm still getting some sun, just not burning (like I would normally do). Also, remember to stay hydrated because the sun (tanning bed or natural) will dehydrate you.
