Toys In Crib

Lately I've been thinking about putting some toys in Will's crib... like something that hangs onto the side of the crib so when he wakes in the middle of the night (or early morning) and is just talking to himself and has nothing to do something will keep him occupied.. but then IDK if that's such a good idea. I have massive insomnia and one of the tips I was given was to make bed only for sleeping... Do any of you moms have toys in your toddler's crib?

i put toys in my sons crib when he was in one i moved him to a big boy bed now so he just gets up and gets his toys out of the toybox...i never put any small toys that could hurt him though

i have some.... ones a mirror with lil extra bits on it to play with. the other is a musical turtle

Yeah, that's what I was thinking just some of the ones that hook on the side of the crib.

Like crib soothers? Dane has had one since day one in his crib. He loves it and turns it on when he wakes up? But what are you talking about? something to keep him occupied while you sleep?

I have a glo worm, leap frog, a fisher price fish soother and 2-3 books at night. My daughter is 19 mos. She will play for about 20 mins then go to sleep.

We have this that is just outside of Kaiden's crib - it put's her to sleep and she LOVES looking at the pictures on the ceiling...

And we have this tied to the crib (just like in the pic) for when she wakes up in the morning and talks to herself. I think she talks to the puppy - but she loves playing with him in the morning for 20-30 minutes or so...

Yes, like a crib soother. No, not while I sleep just untill he gets bored and falls back to sleep himself. He'll sometimes wake in the middle of the night and if I go in there and try to rock him back to sleep he throws a fit. But if I don't go in there at all he'll talk himself back to sleep...

Yeah, ours is yellow. I didn't think my son would like it, but he loved it! He would talk to himself and giggle, it was so cute! He got poop on it, though, I threw it away. I want to get a new one, but my SO said he's too old.

My son has had this one, and a seasame street mirror one that plays music since he was about 3 months.

Lego has toys in his crib for that reason. He wakes up through-out the night since he's been teething & just sits there talking to himself. I got him a few toys & now he plays for a bit until he's able to fall asleep.

Yeah, Will's teething as well and I think that's why he's been waking so much lately. Poor kid I know for sure has at least 4 teeth comming in up front
