when i was in high school one of my friends put her baby up for adoption. That was 15 years ago and she has never regreted it. We actually were talking about it the other day cause she is trying to have another baby. She was really young and couldn't give the baby everything he needed. It was an open adoption so she has pictures and gets to talk to him. Good luck on whatever you decide.

I had my son when I was 16. He is openly adopted now. I made the decision when I was about 6 months. He is with an excellent family now, and I do not regret my decision. I was not able, at 16, to provide him with everything that he deserved, and the family that I chose is able to give that to him.

I'm not doing adoption but I know people that have done an adoption program where that get these portfolio on a bunch of different families and they get 2 choose which family keeps their baby and they get pictures, updates, and can talk 2 their babies sometimes...Hope that helps

When you do an open adoption does that mean that the baby as he grows up will know that you are his birth Mother?

i was 19 and got pregnant. I placed my son for adoption and I too have never regretted my decision. That was 17 years ago. I still keep in touch with my son and his adoptive parents. We have a wonderful relationship and I am so very proud of him. Here is a picture of me and my son back in December.

There is a member on here who gave her child up for adoption... her name is Mrs (heart) Ladylike....

Every situation is different, and it's just something that you have to establish with the family that you chose. My son knows (as much as a 3 year old can) that I am his birth mother.

Mrs. Ladylike is in my parenttank, but I don't know how to link her..
