Contractions Question??

Ok, so i am wondering with back labor does it cause your stomach to tighten during contractions?

Yes,it did for me.

It can, but mine didn't. In fact, the external monitor couldn't even pick up my contrations, so they had to break my water and put in an internal monitor to pick them up.

They did for me, but I have heard it isn't always the case. I hate back labor, it felt like my back was breaking in half..  

NOt with me. It was intense unbearable pain from my shoulder blade down to my tailbone and nowhere else.

Hmm, i have having lots of pain in my back, not consent, but it does hurt super bad But i am also feeling tighting in my lower stomach more painful then bh,

Are you dialated or has your water broken at all? It sounds like regular contractions, but that doesn't necessarily mean labor is coming. If it were back LABOR you would def. know and it would be constant and you wouldn't be able to sit or stand or anything else without wanting to scream..At least that's how I was! lol

I am 4 cm dialted at 65% effaced

I would keep track of the pains for a while and see if there's a pattern. While all of my pain was in my back, there was still a noticeable pattern to them. The general rule is 5-1-1 5 minutes apart lasting for 1 minute or more for 1 hour or more. If it gets to that point, call your doctor or head to l&d to get checked ESPECIALLY since you are already dilated to 4cm. Good luck! **Labor Dust**

Thank you lots, Maybe this will kinda help to this morning and afternoon i had this brown discharge come out, It was a lot and chunky almost like old blood i think, What could that be?

wow. well her head is the right way but she moves and stuff so she said theres a chance of back labor for me. lol wow we're jus going to have everything the same. lol

"Sunny side up" That's how my second was, and was the result of my back labor. Per your question about the chunks, it sounds like it could be your mucous plug.
