Activities

What are some activities and crafts you do with your children? Need some ideas that are cheap and don't need to leave the house for.

i save all old food packages and make models like space rockets etc with them,
also old magazines and cut them up for sticking..making collarges (sp)

cornflower mixed with a little water is always fun to play with but is VERY messy lol

playdough and i tape a newspaper to my kitchen table give my son a coloring book and watercolor paints and let him go as long as hes at the table.

I just give my son markers the baby kind that crayola makes and let him color it up....

We have flash cards we play, jumbo color mats which can be messy but I put towels down just in case. I also have bathtub crayons for bath times. My kids are four but we have some board games they like like Candyland or Memory. Oh yeah and they love, love, love puzzels. I have also made cleaning fun and get my son to vaccum and my daughter to unload the dishwasher. I just tell them how much they are helping mommy and give them a Dum-Dum sucker! LOL
