schedule?

posted 8th Jul
My daughter just turned two months old and I always have the hardest time getting her to go to sleep at night. once she's finally asleep she's fine, but getting her to stop fighting her sleep is almost impossible. should a two month old be put on a specific bedtime schedule, would that help? or is it too soon to try to do that? right now she just goes to sleep whenever we get around to going to sleep.

I put my daughter on a schedule with she was six weeks because thats when she started sleeping through the night. She goes to bed at 7 and wakes up at 7! I think it would be a great idea IMO

babies are very picky and love schedules..and oddly enough my son is 7 months old and still likes to be swaddled at bed time...we keep the ac (don't worry we don't over heat him lol) but he loves to be swaddles and then have a pacifier. if we don't swaddle him he always pulls out his pacifier and won't sleep

Exact same times for both my guys and five and two years later, they're still on the same schedule.

Some people say that its redundant to try to get a newborn on a schedule, but as soon as we can home with Addison we started her nightly routine of
- 9:30 bath
- 10:00 bottle/breast
- 10:30 diaper change/burped

And by 11 every night (except like 3 so far, and shes 2 months also) shes out and doesnt wake up untill 4 or 5!! The sooner you start the schedule the better

I started my daughter on a schedule at around 8 weeks and when she got used to it is when she started sleeping threw the night. I also dont have to rock her to sleep either. I give her a bath at around 8, then bottle, then burp, then its upstairs to her room. I bounce her and sing to her then i lay her in bed with the paci and she either falls asleep right away or she talks for a while and then goes to sleep. But she never cries and she is 4 months old.
