Have you ever asked a homosexual how many other homosexuals are in their extended family..like cousins, aunts uncles..that sort of thing... Every homosexual I know has others in their family gene pool. It seems to me that there is never just one... It's either none or multiple

Also, alot of homosexuals try to deny they are by marrying and having children...

I am friends with a couple who have gone through this. They have a daughter who is gay as well.

My husbands side of the family has several, but mine has none. I am completely prepared for the possibility of having homosexual children.

I didn't realize that so many people still considered homosexuality a choice. I thought, as a society, we had grown past that. Wishful thinking I suppose.

Anyhow, I love me some gays. I've had tons of close gay friends, both men and women, and every single one of them has told me that they first realized that they were "different" when they were very little, that they always sort of knew. None of them has admitted to me an affinity for discrimination or adversity, motivating them to decide to be gay. On the other hand, each, while accepting and loving who they were when we crossed paths, admitted to wishing for the normalcy of a heterosexual life, and to enduring horrible self hatred and shame during some point when they were growing up.

I think it's so clearly genetic.

I think it's choice. A lot of people are probably going to hate me for this but I just dont think it's natural to want to be with the same sex. I'm not saying it's right or wrong.....Just saying I dont think nature makes you gay. I think how you're raised has a big influence. Just my opinion.....

homosexual behavior is often seen in nature among animals.

Do you think they choose?

"natural".

Okay, what about all of the homosexual behavior that has been found in nature, among animals. How do we explain that?

I believe it is genetic. I have many homosexual friends and none of them ever made a choice. Its just who they are, andI am very thankful that they dont feel like they need to hide who they really are.

I think a little bi experimentation in college can be a choice though lol

I am honestly not sure. I just cannot see how anyone whould choose to fall inlove with a person of the same sex with all the hate that still surrounds that lifestyle.

I am leaning towards genetic. But if it where genetic wouldn't it be something that we could see in the DNA?

There are actually many studies going on about that right now, and they have discovered some interesting biological things. Like homosexual male brains resemble female brains ect. I dont believe they have found it in the DNA yet, but there are definetly signs pointing to a scientific reason a person would be born homosexual.

Not necessarily, there are a lot of conditions that you can have a genetic predisposition to, like alcoholism, and obesity, but there isn't an obesity gene or alcoholism gene.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Maybe the question should have been worded... "Choice or Scientific Reason?" That would have been more accurate.
