usually when your pregnant you get moved to the top, but there's still a wait if there arent any open.

Depends on place and state. I would've had to be 21 except that I lived in an apartment for a year and wasn't late on rent or anything.

Congratulations on the Y! That's exciting! I'm so thankful my mom bought me a year membership for Christmas last year so I will have that after I have the baby.

& I also have a question about the goverment housing, where do you go to apply? DHHS?? Right now my boyfriend and I are paying a ridiclous amount in rent, well more like He is paying a ridiculous amount, I'm not working. We can barely afford it, I really dont know what we're going to do when the baby comes. Also when you have goverment housing, does it have to be an apartment? We have 2 cats and a dog, I wouldn't want to cram all of us in a apartment, also my cats are outdoors and I'd be super paranoid that something would happen to them if we moved back in-town, where apartments are. Right now we're living way in the woods. Sorry this is solengthy.

I don't know where you'd go, actually. Call your local welfare office. My boyfriend's aunt already lived there and we applied directly through the landlord. I think there are houses that are discounted by the government, but I imagine most are apartments...in which they typically frown upon pets anyway. But no harm in calling the welfare office to see!
