ultrasound question????

I know this may sound silly. But how can i get another ultrasound? I hhave state medicaid and I got all I was allowed. Which was the two. I just have this feeling I am carrying a boy. And so does my mom. But the ultrasound said a girl at 22 weeks. But it wasnt that clear. I am about to buy this whole pink and brown bedroom set and I will cry if I have a boy and i wasnt prepared. Ijust want to know 4 sure.I mean I did want this baby to be a boy at first but I was happy its a girl too. I have a 2 y.o daughter. This pregnancy is soo different and I am carrying way out front and with Audrey it was more in my hips and face.What is an exuse to get another ultrasound without having to pay for one outright?? Thanks....

I went to the 3-d ultrasound place at 4 months preggo and fount out I was having a girl. It only cost $75. I would call the 3-d, 4-d places and get some prices for a gender ulrasound.

Medicaid will cover as many as NEEDED. If your doctor 'says' it's necessary..they have to cover it. =) I'm going to attempt to get my doctor to find something 'wrong' so I can get one next month, instead of waiting til 20 weeks to find out the sex..haha.

you can pay for the 3d/4d ones. I know here they cost About $60 to do just a gender check and the price can go all the way up to $200 if you want pictures prited things like that.

I just thought I'd add...I am way out front too (pregnancy), pointy as anything and been told by everyone that I 'must' be having a boy but its a girl and I had to ask ultrasound doc to reconfirm this and she did.

The won't do it unless you change doctors in which case they'[ll do it just to make sure your records match you progress or if something were wrong with you or the baby...god forbid(in which case you asking what it is won't be a good idea)

When I had medicaid I only got two but had to switch doctors cause I moved to a different part of the state. The new doctor had sent me to get an dating ultrasound and did one herself towards the end. Needless to say boy boy boy June 30th...It's a boy!!!

I'm the same way about this pregnancy though...I have a gut feeling it a boy and the tech even said I'm pretty sure it's a girl not sounding all too convincing. Unfortuantly I have to go for a follow up exam because they saw something up with the babies heart a month back and I have yet to have a follow up sono. I get to go next month so hopefully I'll get to see it for myself!!!

i would wait if i were you, in case your doctor doesn't request any other ultrasounds after you find out the sex. if you go to early the sex may not be as visible as it would be at 20 weeks. just my opinion though, i know its hard to wait.

Yea I know they will ,I had placenta previa and it was gone by the second ultrasound. And medicaid was going to cover one a month. I just wonder if I could make an exuse to get a ultrasound at my drs or hospital. There has to be easy reason they will give me another ultrasound. I probably will pay for a 3d one but the closest place is an hour away. and I have to set the apt up.
