39 weeks here... contractions all night WORSENING

posted 7th Jul
39 weeks TODAY and my doc is OUTTA TOWN GAAH

GAHHH I've been waking up with contractions, they started off like mild period cramping at like 1 am last night and now I've been waking up every hour (or maybe more?) in PAIN GAAAAAAAAAH

They KILL now, and the back pain isn't helping either

WHEN SHOULD I GO IN? I don't want to go in and have it be too late for the epi but I don't wanna go in too soon and sit there for two days...

I tried to walk around the yard but that just seem to make them worse, well sitting, laying down, or walking seems to make them worse LOL so I'm screwed in any position.

HELP

OH and they're like 2 minutes apart or 3 lasting sometimes 30 or 60 seconds

Most doctors say to come in when they are 5 minutes apart or you cant walk or talk through them. If any of that applies I would go in and get checked just to see what is going on

You should probably head on in
If theyre that bad that you cant walk through them then its probably the real thing
I dont think that the timing of them has anything to do with anything..
Mine would be 5 mins apart then 3 then 2 then 4..
I dilated from 5cm to 10 cm in an hour...
So I would go on in.. whats the worse they can do? Send you home?

I think you need to go in quickly. I waited too long with my second and she was born 30 minutes after I got to the hospital. I was suppose to the the antibiotics for strep b and didnt get them because we waited so long to go in. within 5 minutes of being there I had gone from 6cm to 9 1/2 cm ready to push. Keep us updated. If you dont have a phone buddy let me know and I can give you my cell number and you can call me if you want.

That means you are in labor! LOL. You wont be there 2 days, if you aren't making progress they will send you home. I'd say go in, you never know how fast you will progress and if you want drugs you don't wanna miss your opportunity. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

PS, my doc is away this week too....so I'm pretty sure I'll end up in labor as well. LOL.

I would not ask any more questions but call the office(doctor) and head out even if he/she is outta town I am sure they have someone covering for them. Beast of luck and happy birthing

Whatever you do, keep those hips moving. It will help the baby descend further into your pelvis and if you are dilating it will help with the effacement of the cervix.
