ughhhhhh!!!! I swear...

Okay so I work at this restraunt. Pita Republic. [greek food] well I have a sore throat and a stuffy nose..& I had to work today, I DONT CALL OFF.

3. ITs just wrong.
& I love helping out ppl who work with me...Well this jack**S...today he leaves ITs fine Im like okay I can handle it I finish all the prep but then get very dizzy and just ugh I felt horrible. Well I call him and hes like NO I cant come back right now? Im like what?! When he was sick I works triples for him?!!! 9am-12am. 3diff shifts. for like a week n half. SO he cant work the rest day for me? you gotta be kidding. My feet hurt I have a cold. & watch me pull some grimey ish tomorrow. =[

what pisses me off is that you go to work sick..
especially handling food..

I dont care if you wear gloves a face mask or a hair net..
You should NOT go to work if you are sick..
especially around food.

Iagree. its great you like to help people, but your not helping them when your handling their food when you are sick

EXACTLY. I didnt call in..I dont call in I went the guy saw me and still left. I wasnt that bad..Just a sore throat but then since the air exct. Washing dishes unloading stock everything Making food orders. [I didnt make the food] aka like the cooking I helped around sundays are like clean the restraunt check around do orders type & only three ppl work.
& When I asked him to take over because I didnt feel well he didnt come back. Noo need to get rude If you have a simple question just ASK..Im not that much of an idiot to stand over food and cough. I wouldnt want someone else to do it to me!!!

He was rude and all and I totally understand about loving your job and not wanting to call off too. But when you work in a restaurant environment, you sometimes have to do what best for the health of others and not go to work when you're sick like that. I know as a patron I wouldn't want someone with a cold or something like that preparing my food.

Nahh..Imma just not show up tomorrow and Tell the owner and not tell him anything so hes left in the dark. Just so he sees how it feels....& I called the other worker and told her come in two hours after I usually do and help out she was fine with it.
