Hair Stylist troubles...What would you do?

posted 6th Jul
What would you do?

I went to get a haircut yesterday, and my regular girl was off, so I let the new girl do my hair. It was awful! She started washing my hair and the water was ice cold! Then when she was combing my hair she hit my ear that has an upper ear piercing 6 times with the comb. The 6th time that she did it my ear started to bleed.  I told her it was bleeding and she put some antibacterial hand sanitizer on a paper towel and clipped it to my ear.  She was really rough with the comb.   She barely said anything to me at all other than asking me how much length I wanted off, and I told her..."I want to keep A LOT of my length!"She also said "I remembered" everytime she didn't hit my ear.
So she cut like 3 inches off of my hair and then blew dry it. Then she cut off another inch!   Then she put too much hair product in my hair so it looked greasy and soaking wet.

So what would you have done? (Besides kill her!)

I would probably tell someone. Did you end up tipping her?? I probably wouldn't have tipped her and just called the store once I got homeand asked for the manager.

The next time you go, I'd mention it to your regular girl or give her a call on the lowdown to let her know what happened. Hopefully someone is mentoring the newbie and can give her some tips on how to get and retain repeat customers- she certainly won't do it yanking their jewelry out and not listening to what they want!

No tip for her!

I feel like it's kind of my duty as a customer to make sure that no other customers have the same kind of awlfulexperience. You know?

I'd just never let her come near me again..and she would have gotten no tip. other than that I am too passive to complain or demand a discount.

you have more patience than i do! i am VERY tender headed and the first time she ripped the comb through i would have let her know and after that i would have went off! youd think that to be a stylist you have to have some type of personality!

good that you didnt leave a tip!

i would also mention it to your normal hair stylist, give her a call not wait until you go in again.

Yep. I am calling her on Monday. My hair look alright...but it's not what I wanted. I showed her 2 pictures of what I wanted!

i think u should defiantely complain..
I qualified for hairdressing 4months ago and was always taught to be polite while dealing with a client.. you should always talk to them and make sure they are happy with ur service and what u r doing.
