I would like to see a forum about birth defects and such. I've looked around and have not been able to find it. If I've overlooked it, I apologize.

My son was born with lambdoid synostosis, and needed his skull completely reconstrusted from the top middle on back. His surgery was December 12, 2007. They needed to remove the skull, cut it into pieces, those pieces had to be reconstructed, and then put back together likea puzzle, and held together with plates and screws. Its an extremely emotional ordeal, with a lot of risks involved. Being able to talk to other Mothers that have had any type of birth defect/surgery done on their child, could be very supportive. I would love to share my story, but I just dont know exactly where I should do it.

My nephew was born with a similar condition but they had called it Craninsosis (or something along that line) where all his skull bones had already fused so he had no soft spots. his head looked like a football as some people would say. and when they did the surgery they also had to take the skull bones off and cut into pieces and reshape. my sister left it until he was about a year old and the surgeon i think stuffed up a little bit as now he has a dent just in the middle under his scar. he is perfectly healthy now, havent seen them in about a yr though but im pretty sure they are fine. Also my partner was actually born with half a foot on left leg and it has one little toe, nothing hereditary just something that happened within the womb, i was worried about our baby coming out with something similar but he looks fine.

would it be posible to pointme in the dierction of help with depression DURING pregnancy and the risks etc
iv been diagnosed i knew i was depressed but iv actually been told im cronicly depresed r as they call it here manicly depressed im having to go for very intense treatment

I agree with the above post. It would be nice to have a section dedicated to antepartum and postpartum pregnancy. Personally, it's been very hard for me, and I know there are other women out there suffering as well, and we could use support.

I wou;ld like to more on immunizations the pros cons which ones you shold do with out etc?

Hi, It would be nice to see something for women confined to bedrest because of complications with thier pregnancy.

Could we PUH LEASE have a sticky for people in abusive relationships. I'm not heartless. I was in one for 3 years but seriously there is only so much sypathy I can muster in one day and I like to use it IRL lol. Could we have something to link people in abusive relationships to that includes numbers to call and some tips for dealing. It will save all the blunt answers getting peoples panties in a twist. Ta.
