Warning Pissy mood and venting!

I just had to vent because I don't want to say anything out loud. Here's the very short story

I'm still out of town and SO ready to be home! I love my DH's family but his twin brother has been bugging me so bad! I was just talking to his mom about my PCOS (cause I've been trying to get rid of a skin tag that finally came off yesterday) and he heard me talk about how much I hate this disease and he was like "what disease?" and I said "well I have 2, Polycystic ovarian syndrome and Endometriosis" and he asked if it was anything big and I said "well that's what I had surgery for in May to keep it from getting bad" and he's like "oh I didn't know you had surgery." He came to my house a week after my surgery and I was still in pain and he didn't even notice? so then he said "well I hope you get better soon and it goes away." and I said "it's here for life" and he said "OH I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! I HAVE CARPAL TUNNEL FOR LIFE, SO I FEEL YOUR PAIN."

I haven't said anything since, just hopped on BG to try not to think about it but I'm just so irritated. I know he's a male, and just doesn't get it, but he's just so insensitive to everyone, he always feels like he has it worse than anyone else so if you have any problems he feels like he just has to win in the "feel sorry for me" situations. I just want to yell at him every symptom, every problem I have due to both of these, but I'm just trying to leave it alone. Anyway, thanks just needed to vent!

Aw, i'm sorry you are having a rough time.

I know from experience that BIL's can be a pain in the butt. Mine thinks he knows EVERYTHING about ANYTHING. Ugh, makes me crazy!

Can you maybe talk to your husband and have him ask your BIL to be alittle more sensitve towards your feelings? It might not be worth it because i'm not sure how often you see them being they live out of town.

Are you there much longer?

You could call and say "My house blew up with everything I own in it and then to top it off a three-headed monstermugged my entire family while we were outside watching the house burn down...."

we were going to leave tomorrow but we're now leaving tonight. We intentionally didn't tell them that we have Monday off and decided to wait and see if we were going to stay or not, cause I knew it'd get this way. I love coming to visit, but can only stay so long.

I've talked to my BIL myself, but he doesn't listen to anyone about anything. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 15, and stopped taking meds a few years ago and decided to work on it without the meds. He was diagnosed about year ago and always talks about how if you're going to beat depression you have to have meds. He's also trying to convince me that my DH is depressed, "cause it's genetic" and that he needs to get out of the military so he can take medication for it. I told him I live with Drew, I would know if he was depressed, and the military gives him a sense of accomplishment that he wouldn't get outside the Air Force, that he needs to stay in, and wants to stay in. He responded with "I out of all people know what depression is, and I think he's depressed." I just hate people that think they know everything about something and think they're an expert and will argue with someone that's been dealing with it for YEARS.

LOL exactly. right as I read that he's going on and on about how he's going to need glasses "someday" and how upset he is about it. Dude I got my first pair of glasses when I was 6, and I'm not legally allowed to drive without them. My mother is legally blind and my eyesight is just going to get worse as I get older. I mentioned it and he said "yeah but it's easier for you, you grew up with it, imagine being able to see your whole life and then losing it. You're lucky" OMG it's not like he's going blind!!!!

argh....ppl like that get on my neeeeerrrrrrrrvvvves


Some ppl are just addicted to drama and can turn anything into a life or death situation!

I hate people like that. I have a friend that acts like that. I was raped a few years back and she tried to say she knew how I feel. (She is still a virgin so how is she suppose to know how I feel?)

I am glad you are leaving tonight then. You don't need that stress and it seems like you BIL is a know it all... Some people are like that and they drive me crazy! I can't stand being around my BIL he is the same way. I told my husband and he got mad at me for it, but he isn't my favorite person. I love and care about him but I can only be around him in small amounts of time.

As far as the depression goes.... you don't need medicine all the time. Silly guy. Some people can get depressed and not need meds. Oh well. I'm sure you can't explain anything to him though.

Anywho, I hope you are in a better mood when you get in the car on the way home or the air plane. I'm not sure how far away from home you are.

Ok can I start by saying he is a d**k?!
I hate people like that, I have had people tell me they feel my pain and they feel it only because they get massive headaches.
Don't these people realise that having PCOS or any other infetility problem is taking away all our hopes and dreams of being parents?
Having a headache or carpal tunnel isn't taking away from them the way it is us.

OMG! What a freaking jerk! Too bad he didn't shut up long enough for you to tell him that if you kicked him in the nuts and stomach for two hours straight it wouldn't come close to the pain you feel on a daily basis and just walk away. LOL! No offense, but he honestly sounds like a moron. Hope you don't think I am mean for that one.

LOL. It kind of reminds me of a husband and wife. She is having a baby and asks for meds and he tries to tell her its not as bad as her gripping his hand and to suck it up until she tries to rip his throat out. LOL!

I hope things get better for you. Hopefully it gets better soon and you get some relief from all of it. I am sure you will be so happy to get home. Take care hun.

When I told my MIL about my diagnosis and this was one reason I was TTC now rather than later she actually said on a message to my husband, "So what, lots of people have it." Since in the same message she said something to the effect of this is the way I am she needs to deal with it or stay away from me (we were arguing about her lack of tack and her blunt way of stating every opinion she has at the time) I hopped online and wrote her an email telling her that I give up and I will stay away.

That guy was a total jerk for saying that. He has no idea what you are going through. Some people need to learn to just shut up.
