Pumping

I havent been pumping these past couple days cause Hayden eats ALL the time (like every hour) when hes awake and i feel like if i pump, when he goes to eat, there will be nothing there for him.
and i feel like my supply is regualting around him, so how the hell am i supposed to pump? i want to have extra milk. It doesnt matter now, cause i never leave him but will i ever be able to get the supply up again, or is it now or never?

watching I am thinking the same thing.. I love to have 2 feeds int he fridge at night so Joel can feed her too... but Ella has been feeding every 1-2 hours today... I feel all dried up LOL.. about to go pump in a minute drinking so much water..fingers crossed i get something LOL

I know im thinking about pumping right now too but i feel like right when im done hell wake up and there will be nothing left! i hate this. i dont know what to do. he loooves nursing too, so i dont wanna pump just to go and give it right back to him....

Feed your baby then pump right after. If you want extra milk the best thing to do is to feed then pump. Pumping doesn't always work well for everyone though.

I dont think anything would come out after i nursed! will more come if i do it everytime? ive tryed to do that before (probably once or twice) and it hurt so bad cause there was nothing to pump out...but if thats the only way, im gonna have to start doing it. i just dont wanna go through the pain if it doesnt work.

I took fenugreek to increase my milk production and it worked amazing. u can get it at GNC or VitaminWorld for $6-$7. your supposed to take 3 pills, 3 times a day (what the bottle says)

Ya, it will help increase your supply so there is extra. Just pump for a few minutes each time and increase the amount your trying to pump slowly. Like start with 5min or something and work your way up.

Hmm thats weird a pill can do that. Will it make me acutally have more milk? cause i know i have alot now from him nursing so often im just afraid to pump it cause i dont want it to be dry when he goes to nurse again (probably 30 minutes later)

another question you can probably answer: How long does the milk stay good (in and out of the fridge)? and ive heard 3 months in the freezer?

My book that came with my pump say 10 hours out of fridge if at room temp. and 8 days in the back of the fridge. You can deep freeze for 6 months too.

Ok ive heard close to that, i just wanted to make sure. I noticed that the milk gets a little residue on the top after a few days.

wow I thought it was only good for 24 hours... yay.. I am gonna pump like crazy... saturday night we are having board game night and I wanna drink (more than a few   )... I am getting so excited MOLOPOLY here I come LOL... I am def. gonna start pumping after feeds and try the fenugreek too..

You can also try applying a warm towel or even taking a shower will make your milk production come down. Some times I pump even before she eats and than she'll wake up and want to eat more. Your body makes just as much milk as the baby will drink. So go ahead and pump your baby will not starve...LOL...
