Stay at home dads?

So, What is everyone's opinion on stay at home dads?

Currently, I am the one working and I don't mind it at all. I stayed home with her for the first 6 months and once we moved out here...I got an amazing job offer, which I obviously took.

David still brings in a steady pay check..just not in the tradition sense. He has a DJ gig almost every weekend which brings in 2-300 for 3-4 hrs of work.. Which isn't bad if you ask me..

Even if he didn't work, and it was just me.. I'd totally be alright with it.

I think its great! Some men are just great with their kids and don't mind being around them all day and not working. I wish I could be a SAHM and my husband could be a SAHD. That would be the life.

I think it works for some and is great. My bro in law is a stay at home dad and I know my sister wishes she could stay home but that just isn't what works right now. For me and my hubby, that situation would never work. He's great with our kids but he goes nuts and feels like he is failing his family if he is not the one doing the providing 

i think it would be kind of cool. My husband would love to be a stay at home dad. I know it upsets him that he doesnt get that much time with our daughter. He's always joking with me to go get a really good job so he didnt have to work.

I say if it works for you then that's all that matters. I am not sure if I could allow my husband to stay at home with the kids while I work unless a lifestyle/career change forced us to. If he did I hope it would only be temporary.
