OMG HELP! lol

posted 5th Jul
i made this chili i got the recipe for on allrecipes.com

everyone that reviewed it failed to mention that its the equivallent of swallowing hot coals... so, any suggestions on how to tone the spicy down a bit? i added an extra can of beans and tomato sauce, its bearable now but only barely...

a friend of mine suggested adding potatos to it to soak up some of the heat but i only have 2 potatos left and i dont want to use them for that.. im planning on putting cheese and sour cream on top of it so that should help a bit.. any other suggestions.. i cant add much more to it as my crockpot is already full lol... HELP!

You sound like you are experimenting LOL!

Try to add water! Always helps. Its got sauce right? So add water and keep draining until you get to the hotness you can handle, then season it.

Add cream if you can.
It will really help.
Sour cream is great and so are mushrooms!
Tofu would probably be the best, they soak up pretty much anything.
If you add tofu or mushrooms then let it simmer for 30 minutes or so before you test it.

well ive already served it and i took 5 bites and had to stop... was entirely too spicy for me even with cheese and sour cream in it..

needless to say im pretty pissed with how it turned out. ive been smelling it for HOURS now, starving my tits off and now i cant even eat my own dinner because some stupid assholes on some stupid recipe website FAILED TO FUCKING MENTION how hot it would be....

god im so pissed about this... all that food fucking wasted. too bad they dont just sell the chili mix here like they do in the states... never go wrong with carrol shelbys chili mix... not too spicy ever... its perfect... but noooo, i have to just work with what i have when i want chili and it always turns out shit-tastic...

/end rant

sorry i had to get that off my chest... kinda upset if you couldnt tell
