If your religion were completely false, would you want to know?

For discussion: How would this affect your outlook on life? Would it change the way you live your daily life?

only because if i could muster the delusion of religious belief i really wouldn't want anyone crapping on my cloud, if you know what i mean.

I think it comes down to your faith of and belief in something. Ifsomeone tells me my religion is false and I accept that, than my faith and belief in it was never real. I'm not sure how much sense that will make...

I'm religious but not a nut. I don't believe in the literal meaning of the bible but i believe the teachings are great rules to live by. I'd love to hear any evidence proving conclusivlly one way or another but the lessons I've learnt because of my religion would stay with me regardless of the true reason behind them, if that makes sense LOL

Yeah...sometimes ignorance can be bliss I guess. We're semi-religous...we bring the kids to church because I don't see the harm in giving them an introduction to religion. But one day I'd like to visit different churches with the kids so that they can be exposed to different outlooks and beliefs.

I would want to know.. mostly for my kids.. i wouldn't want to teach them something that is false. I also wouldn't want to live a lie.. But i think in some sense it keeps me in check.. i'd probably do more wrong things and have fun if i knew i didn't have to face anyone in the end.. sounds horrible.. but i'm only speaking the truth
