If it truly were false yes I would want to know. But I don't believe it is. I know you didn't ask that, but just felt like saying. The way I look at it is, what do I have to lose by believing in it? But on the other hand, if I chose not to believe in it then if it IS really true then I would be losing alot. Hope that didn't sound confusing. lol.

being openly wiccan, I know that anything and everything is possible. I follow the ways of the Goddess but,we are only human and humans are naturally stupid creatures. My husband is agnostic and LOVES to point out how blind I am how stupid this that or the other thing is. To me he's blind and needs to be more open minded and realize things can and do exsist even though we don't see them. However, i could be the blind fool and he could be completely right. I never say something does or does not exsist unless it can be proven to me.

I have seen and experienced things that most will say is either #1 down right evil or #2 a helusination (sp?) to me these things DO exsist and are real (no I was not on anything at the time) there is proof for me but, until man can solidly prove that god(ess) and the super natural do not exsist. I'll continue to happily follow my heart. Blind or other wise.

most are very very personal religous experiences I don't share.

However, there is a cemetary in my home town that is just pure evil. We used to hang out there at night during HS (yeah not a whole lot to do back then) There was an angel statue that would literally walk the cemetary. All of us saw it on several occasion moving. The sad part, is that it sat next to a few of my friends on these steps and now thoes friends are all dead. They all died in car accidents before we graduated. I am not in the least bit joking.

Reminds me of the song " would you want to see if seeing meant that you would have to believe in things like Jesus and the saints and all the prophets, yeah yeah God is good, yeah yeah god is great" Makes me wonder the opposite as well, how many would want to know for a fact by seeing him, meaning that he would have to believe?

btw, to the op..I think this topic is great.  I am always interested in seeing what others can bring to the table in a religious discussion.  I did vote yes, however after I read some other responses, maybe ignorance IS bliss and I would rather be blissful than right in some cases. This is a tough question  

I want to know what makes people think that their religion IS the true religion??

is it because you are told it is...or do you truely belive it? and why...what prroves to a person that their religion is true and right and better than all the other thousands of religions out there?

and I can't answer your very very good question Emma...because I am not religious.
but I believe if I was..I would want to know that it is false..and what is the correct one.
but I honestly believe that there is no true religion and people are blindly following the masses.
