Cake

How many of you, whose child is 1 or older, made his/her first birthday cake?! I am a terrible baker...but would probably feel totally guilty if I didn't at least attempt to make my daughters first birthday cake!!

I'm not the best baker either, but I plan to try to make my daughters 1st b-day cake...i want it from scratch

I didn't make mine. I gave a bakery a invitation from the party to show our theme. They decorated the cake exactly how I wanted it.

we got a very very yummy cake from the grocery store bakery. I honestly hate cake and I loved this cake. SO yummy!. I don't think bday cakes need to be home made. I think they should be extra special and made by someone who knows what they are doing. I don't do better crocker justice LOL

I didn't have time to bake anything since my sons birthday was my only day off that week. I stopped at Safeway and got him an "individual" cake, which was perfect since it really just got mooshed up anyway. =)

Jerzees cake was a road with a dumptruck on top. The "road" was white cake and the dumptruck was filled with crumbled chocolate cake and m&m minis for "debris"


Jissella's was just a cake that me and my son Jerzee decorated [[he was 3 1/2 at the time...]]

I did my daughter's here are the pictures it was not the best but people who were helping would not listen to what I wanted done.
Her cake is the small cake on top and the bottom was all cup cakes.

LOL I want her cake to be cute...my cousin is a baker and makes some of the most fantastic yummy cute cakes I have ever seen...so if I don't make my own, my cousin will make one. I just feel guilty even though my baking sucks lol

It's a famliy tradition for us to buy a big cake for the party, then get a tiny one (full cake just a small one) and sit the baby in a highchair, and let em have at it..no forks or anything

thoes are all super cute!!!!!!!!

We got Elliot one that was made to look like a pumpkin patch (his bday is halloween) It had super yummy whipped cream frosting and was marble cake w/pineapple filling. I think I ate half of the quarter sheet we bought. it was sooooooooo dang yummy!
