Ahh - MEN! (vent)

I'm so fucking pissed at my husband right now! I wrote our rent check out to our landlord yesterday (who is a good friend of mine), and went to transfer his half of the rent from his account to mine. Come to find out - he's $250 short on his half of the rent. Not to mention I just bought him a car AND paid his registration for it! He hardly pays for anything! All I ask is half of the car payments and half of rent. That leaves me to pay insurance (both health and car), ALL household bills, dr's bills, gas for the cars, diapers/clothes for Kaiden, foodfor the dogs and snakes,and even HIS credit card payments (which I've paid off twice now)! He bitches at me when I ask him to clean, or ask him to take care of Kaiden so I can do it. I clean the house, do the laundry, feed the dogs, take care of Kaiden, etc., and he has the audacity to come home tonight and tell me that he has two jobs and is TIRED. Iworkfull time (which also means that I pay the $500/month for daycare), AND do all the shit the a normal housewife does when I comehome!I told him he could sleep on the couch until he learns how to be a participating member of the family. He sits and whines about how unfair I'm being and plays this childish act when I'm mad at him. I told him that it hurts to give him the worl and get nothing in return. Am I really being that unfair? Is it mean to have him sleep on the couch? I want to make him understand how unfair it is to me, but I really have no other idea on how!? God damned men when they want to be jerks....

This might be a little bit personal... But why don't you have joint checking accounts?

wow sounds like you got the raw end of the deal.. i have a personal account and then a joint with my fiance and put he is the only one working he doesnt want our baby being taken care of by anyone else so he said he would handle getting the money if i stayed home tell she starts school.. which i guess im okay with...

I was married before and with my ex husband we always seemed to have more problems with joint things. My current husband and I have nothing joint (except a kid - LOL) but I pay everything regardless who's name is on the bill (bad on my part, I know). I feel like it's a way to keep a certain amount of my own independence from marriage (weird, I know).

lol yeah .. i dunno im not like overly emotional and stuff and im not very romantic he is though.. like overly corny its kinda funny. he has his good moments and bad moments. but i am lucky he wants the best for our baby since he wasnt able to do alot with the other two he has ( long story)

Wow....why do you get stuck paying for everything??? I would split the bills down the middle. So he'd pay half, and I would pay half. My husband and I have a joint account and I have my own account. I dont have my own account by choice though, I have it cause he wanted some money to go into a whole diff. account every month for emergency purposes....If I were working I'd be paying the car note or something. I wouldn't make him pay everything. That's just me though, right now i'm not working he didn't want me to but I will soo, hopefully.
