RESPECT

When I was younger, I was a chubby kid, and I used to get made fun of! So I started to play sports and work out! My pre preggo weight was 145 and im 5'8! So anyway needless to say I have always been self concious about the way I look! So now that I am preggo, all of my hubby's fam call me fatty all the time! I told him that even though they are "joking" that I dont like it! It gets to a point where its just annoying, and I dont wanna go around them. I have been tellin him this for 2 months now! Today we got in an argument cause I told him that he needs to tell them not to do it anymore, and to respect my wishes! He says that I am being rude! As my man he should take up for me! Am I sooooo wrong?

If he won't speak up for you then YOU need to tell them.

My MIL would not stop touching my belly when I was pregnant and my husband thought nothing of it. I hated it and told her to stop. She wasn't happy but its my body.

My guy calls me fatty sometimes... but I'm not even showing yet. It doesn't bother me when he does it because I know he's joking but if his family ever said something like that to me I would be really upset. And my gof, his aunt grabbed my belly the other day and I looked at her like..."wtf?" she didn't catch it though. 

I think your guy should definetly respect your wishes and talk to his family about it. If it hurts your feelings then it IS a big deal, whether he thinks it is or not.

Heck I do get upset w/ folks that say that ...and yes your man should tell them to shut up w/ the rude comments!! If he doesn't speak up then, say something yourself...There's nothing wrong w/ being rude back to someone that is obviously being rude to you IMO !!

I'm the same way... I weighted 155 pre pregnancy although no one would believe that I was that heavy... no idea why. I've always had a low self conciouse(sp) when it came to my body and now its even worse, although I know I'm pregnant and SHOULD be getting bigger, I still hate the comments "look how big your getting" or anythiing like that and Steven has made it clear to his friends NOT to say anything like that. Your not wrong, tell them to stop if he wont!

hell no youre not wrong...in highschool I was anorexic so the weight gain thing really bothered me, what got me through it was my fiance telling me how great I looked and that he was proud that I was willing to gain weight to make our baby healthy. Now that I am 3 wks pp and trying to lose the 34 lbs I have left it makes me feel ok with how i look now bc he tells me he is proud of how I have lost 21 and that I am beautiful with this weight on. He needs to stick up for you and his family shouldnt call you Fatty!!!

LOL I just skim past all that, they are too long for me to read... if it doesn't have my name in it, I don't read it... I post what I want and I don't care! LOL
