Pregnant women in jail

SOOOOOOO...I had alot of traffic tickets that I never paid..sooo the POLICE came and got me thursday..went to jail.. ..(Sean was fine..he was with my mother)..I had to wake up and go to court, which is call ''first appearance''..found out I was gonna get realease that day (makin it July 4th)..annyywayss LONG STORY SHORT..I was in a rooming cell with about 11 woman...and about 5 of them were pregnant!! looking anywhere from 4 months to almost due..and I couldnt help but get teared up because they were in there for serious issues..such as drug traffiking (sp)..ONE was in there for cuttin her cheating husband..I pray for them and hope everything works out..cause the worst thing that a pregnant woman have to do..is be taken to Labor and Delivery in shackles!! just wanted to share

Man, I don't doubt there are a lot of pregnant women that go to jail for laying the smack down on cheaters. All those hormones. Sorry to hear about your jail time. That happened to me once, but I just had to turn myself in and bail myself out.

Omg.. that's so sad!! And I'm sorry about you having to stay a night there, especially being prego and all. Man that scares me though.. yours was a lil less serious. Couldn't they have waited?

oh no i wasnt pregnant..my son is 6 months..  which doesnt make the situation any better!..BUT THE TICKETS ARE LIKE 3 YEARS OLD..sheesshh!

I ask the ''regular inmates'' what do they do when they go into labor..they'll shackle you into the hospital..so imagine your water broken..and havin shackles around your wrist and ankles..and then there is security gaurds outside your door.AND I DONT THINK YOU'RE ALLOWED TO HAVE ANYONE IN THERE WITH YOU

Oh.. ic dang.. well good thing you weren't. I think the pregnancy hormones woulda made things feel worse. That's is sad about the other womenthough. Makes you think twice about the choices you make it life. Yeah my hubby kept getting arrested by different counties from fraud that his ex-girlfriend did to him 3 years ago too! I was so irritated coz he wasn't even guilty but he still had to stay a nite in jail for it TWICE.

my friend went to jail when she was 7 mo preggo for drug trafficking and she said it was awful having her baby in there. they didnt listen to her when she told them the baby was coming and they're very hesitant on giving you drugs becuase of why she was there and they thought she was a user so they didnt want her getting high. when she had him they let her hold him real quick then took him away and she didnt see him again til her mom brought him to see her. i couldnt imagine but i'd be so scared even if i wasnt preggo but to be preggo and hormonal in jail just sounds bad.  imagine how you are now behind bars for months or years. and not being able to hold your baby

I got a ticket in Palm beach county about 5 years ago fornot having my seat belt fastened. Last year I was pulled over and becauseI had given my ex the $ to pay it (he works at the court house) and FORGOT OVER THE NEXT 4 YEARS they wanted to take me to jail!!! I was in shock! I had even renewed a suspended lisence!! Florida is rediculous. Go bust some crack heads and leave mealone for my freaken seat belt ticket.

I work in a jail... and believe me, we do see ALOT of pregnant women. I feel sorry for "some" of them, especially since I was just recently prego. Others though, I want to kick their a$$ because they are high on cocaine or crack.... I don't feel AT ALL sorry for them... I feel sorry for their babies.
