recession, gas prices, and you

How has the economy personally affected your life? I don't want to have another baby for a year, but I still think about how we can afford it and keep our house, etc. We have really cut down on driving anywhere, hardly ever eat out, fastfood, and certainly not a sit down restauarant, look for all the coupons i can, bit I am amazed at the grocery prices!! And fireworks, they were twice as much this year too.
How has your life changed because of it?

We are still doing ok, but my husband does pull a lot of overtime and we live off one income. We have a high house payment and recently had to make the switch from a 4 door car to a mini van. I really had noooo clue gas prices could get soooo high! It's insane! My husband has 2 kids from his first wife, and I am now pregnant with our 2nd. His kids spend the entire summer with us and while they are here weSTILL have to pay over a grand a month for child support! That makes things a little tighter, because we are sending money to support them AND supporting them while they are here!

We have been trying to cut back as much as possible, too. It is horrible. Everything is going up. I feel guilty everytime I drive somewhere further than like, a mile down the street. I try to think of how much money I am wasting when I use the air conditioner. Ugh. Stupid money.

my fiance may need to give up his SUV due to gas costs (the highest Ive seen here is 4.25) and we may just go to one car so we dont have to fill 2 tanks every week. Grocery bills are insane so Im thinking ab getting on WIC for Duce's formula and the $$ it can save us with groceries. I dont know what it will be like when I go back to work as I havnt been working in almost 2 months and could still be out for 2 more...Its hard but we make due

We have cut back tremendously.
I hardly ever eat out, we dont go to movies.
We stay in on weekends, maybe only going out once a month..
Its amazing how much we have tried to conserve due to the economy right now.

I know! It sucks soooo bad! I have to drive an hour each wayto my OB and it''s hot as hell so of course I am using the a/c. I actually wanted to put off my weekly appointments since its such a long ride and gas is so high! I didn't ask though because I thought they would think I was crazy! Weekly appointments start for me on the 14th of this month. sigh.

Ugh! Gas prices are killing us! My hubby commutes to work 30 minutes and back every day so we spend about $300 a month just on gas! We are making a lot of cuts including rarely eating fastfood, going to parks on weekends instead of going out other places, and my most recent is that I had to switch from my beloved Pamper's cruisers to generic  to help make ends meet.

Its 5 bucks cheaper.
I feel your pain.

I saw that a loaf of italian bread was $2.50. You used to be able to get it for a buck. We just haven't drove around and gone as many places as we used to. Also, I went and got a full time job.

fortionately were not suffering much in the money dep....but my mom has gone as some say 'green' so that saves ALOT ALOT of money anyways...but she does it for the worlds sake rather then for the money sake.....
but i know what everyone is feeling...gas is sucking up everyones life!!! ?
