My due date dilemma...

So I had my 28 week appt on Thursday, and what a pain in the ass... Everything went fine until I opened my big fat mouth... I had my 1 hr glucola and my regular appt, no big deal... Then I asked about whether or not my due date would change because of my last ultrasound (my OBGYN was not present for that ultrasound), it was measuring two weeks ahead. So she leaves the room, "checks on something" and comes back and was like "Oh, youre right, youre due October 10!" and I said WHAT?! THATS TWO WEEKS IN THE WRONG DIRECTION! And she looked confused and went out of the room again to "check something" My LMP due date is September 26. I had an ultrasound in february that said September 30. My last ultrasound said September 12. So HOW THE HECK did she come back wtih October 10?! She came back in again and had no answers, and said she would call me with my due date after she talked to the doctor who performed the ultrasound... WHAT?!

October 10 is ridiculous too, that pretty much means I would have gotten a positive pregnancy test on the day of conception  

I tend to worry about using my LMP for a due date, because my LMP was very irregular, it lasted two days and was very very light.

If you had your ultrasound after 24 weeks it's not as accurate for measuring gestation because that's when babies start to grow at different rates. It could just mean that he is a little on the smaller size. I would go with the September 30th due date since that's the one given by your first ultrasound and is probably most accurate.

My dr. kept changing my due date for awhile too...It went from July 23rd to the 29th...to August 3rd to July 20th...and back toJuly 29th...So I just went by the day I liked the best, lol...doesnt matter tho cuz she's gonna be here earlier than that...but anyways my dr.s did the same thing

Ditto. They really shouldn't be changing your due date this late (I've been told and read in books not after the 1st trimester). I've been measuring about 2 weeks ahead ever since my 25 week u/s and both my OB & perinatologist never changed my due date, just said my baby is a bit bigger than average.

Sounds like your doc needs her head checked.

thats weird but who knows maybe ur due later than u thought no wonder ur tummy is small :O) its ok all that matters is that ur baby is healthy and shell come out wen shes ready to come out :O) mostly all the time due dates are wrong anyways

Yeah but theres no possible way for me to be due october 10, I got a positive pregnancy test on January 23, that would have been like 4 days after conception!

yeah ur right they need to get their technology a little bit more acurate thats so dum that its happening to u..my sonograms say my due date is sep 25th but my doc calculates from my period date so its sep 26th

Lol well Im beginning to think my doctor needs to go back to med school... I swear she measures me wrong too, she measures lower than where the top of my uterus is...

I got a positive pregnancy test Jan 24th and they said my due date was Oct. 8th then they said he was big for Oct 8th and they said it could be the end of sept. but they were going to keep Oct 8th as the due date casue it was so close. I guess he'll just come when he comes. They can be so confusing.
