i think that would be very responsible.. if you were unable to care for your child and gave it to a couple who is not as lucky ..

i totally agree. i think that i would make a good mommy.... but most people would disagree because i'm 17, i mean i almost live on my own, i graduated high school and i'm going to college...

yes thats true.. but not everyone takes it that way.
some people take the easy way out and never learn to accept their mistakes.

ya. i imagine it would be the hardest thing i'd ever have to do.. give up my baby.. but they DO have open adoptions, and it seems selfish to keep your baby because you want it when you can give it to someone who can take good care of it, where you wont have to worry if it will get adequate clothing, schooling etc. and i'd still get to see it.

Everyone is gonna have something to say about something be it teen pregnancy or how you chose to dress, or what color hair you have . you just have to ignore it!!!! The world is full of gossip and b/s you just have to take it and keep going someone is always going to think there is something wrong with anything and everything you do!!! But one thing to remember you have to live your life no one else is gonna do it for you!!!!!

when i felll pregnant and had to make a choice the thing that swayed me toward keeping it is the fact if i had an abortion you can regret it whereas i could never regret having a child because i would love it far to much...

i was the same way although i never let abortion and adoption leave my mind until i made my final desicion!!
i decided to keep her becuase i live with my boyfriend hes supporting me and so is my family and we are able to support her in anyway possible!

yeah i have plenty of support i think thats one of the main things needed for any new mother...

i agree!!  it just makes everything easier!

Planned Parenthood, some clinics and Pregnancy Centers all offer free pgregnancy testing, some may ask you to wait tho to be sure since you have an irregular cycle. Pregnancy centers will also offer counseling and support for you to know whats coming and make a solid decision about keeping the baby vs open adoption... They can help ypou know where to start and how well the system works in your area and such. Also, if you DO keep the baby, they can help you with the local resources in your area for anything you may need help with.

ya i know for a fact i dont want an abortion.. its just a decision between open adoption and keeping it. it all depends on how moving out goes for me and my boyfriend, and the kind of care we'll be able to provide based on support from my parents and whatnot. i just hope all goes well no matter what decision i make.

dont rely on your parents to raise your baby for you. its WETHER YOU AND HIM can provide for your baby not how much help your going to get from your parents its not there baby... its yours.. and you cant rely on them to make sure your baby gets everything its up to YOU!!!

its good they help and supprt you.. but basing your desiscion on keeping your baby or not on wether your parents are going to make sure the baby has everything is wrong.

oh i know. i just meant for advice and stuff. i want to be able to call my mom when i cant get the baby to stop crying to see what i can do and all that... i dont expect or want my mom to raise the baby for me... i just need the support.
